What a pleasure it was to photograph John and Kim's wedding June 6, 2009... They were married at Lake Junaluska and it was a picture perfect day! Mother of the bride, Vikki took care of most of the details and everything looked so fantastic. From the moment Kim and her father arrived by horse and carriage, her and John were in awe of each other. Special moments included Kim giving the promise ring back to her father before he gave her away, and Kim and John had written there own vows, beautiful and very heart felt and after they were married, I got to ride with them in the horse and carriage and the photos I got I will never forget, the excitement was unreal and you could feel how much they loved and admired each other. We took some family and wedding party pictures and then I spent some time with the couple, first on the bridge overlooking the lake where they had their first kiss when they were dating and as we walked down the rose walk, I was snapping candids of them. The reception was lots of fun, beautifully decorated and outside was the cake cutting and toasts and for their exit, they ran through sparklers and sailed away. It was so romantic and storylike. I was honored to take part in their day and I also want to thank my second shooter Giedre for her assistance!
